Memorial and Tribute Gifts
Memorial and tribute gifts offer a way to remember or honor a loved one, while also supporting Hospice of Central PA. Families are notified that you have made a gift (not the amount of the gift) when you provide a name and address for this purpose.
3rd Party Events
A third party event is when a business, organization or family plans a special event to benefit Hospice of Central PA. HCP is the fortunate recipient of the net proceeds of many third party events throughout the year including the Bob Baish Memorial Golf Tournament, Aroostine’s Lemonade Stand and the Shellsville Horseshoe Tournament in memory of Casey Koons. These events happen independently of HCP. For guidelines and suggestions regarding effective third party events, please reach out to the HCP development department.
HCP encourages in-kind gifts that enable us to care for patients and their families at Carolyn’s House, our 24-hour hospice residence. If you want to make a gift in-kind that is truly needed please choose K-cups, paper towels, tissues, snack bars and/or gift cards for Giant. HCP’s gift acceptance policy does not allow us to accept gifts of furniture, artwork, décor and clothing. Thank you for helping us to uphold these policies.
The Legacy Society
HCP’s Legacy Society was established to recognize and honor all who name Hospice of Central PA as a beneficiary of a will, trust, retirement plan, life insurance policy, life income gift, or other type of planned giving arrangement. All are welcome to join the Society regardless of the size of the bequest or planned gift. By becoming a member, you join a community that embraces specialized care at the end of life.
HCP is able to honor donor-restricted gifts for the following programs:
HCP welcomes gifts restricted to Carolyn’s House which provides 24-hour hospice care in a comfortable home-like setting in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. HCP offers this residential hospice service when personal choices or medical needs make other options difficult. The approach to care at Carolyn’s House includes an interdisciplinary team of trained professionals who work together with the patient and family to develop a plan of care. Carolyn’s House is also offered as a solution for short-term respite care – to provide relief for caregivers.
Camp Dragonfly is a free weekend camp for children who are grieving. It provides a safe and fun environment in the great outdoors to work on coping skills and healing activities with peers.
