Yvette Lynch is the Director of Development at Hospice of Central PA. In this role, she plans and coordinates fundraising events and appeals for HCP. Yvette graduated from Shippensburg University with a BA in Communications/Journalism. Her entire career has been in the non-profit sector. Prior to joining HCP, she served as the Director of Development for 27 years at the Harrisburg Area YMCA. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family, friends and her two dogs, Gizmo and Millie. Her favorite summer destination is beautiful Cape May, NJ.

Connie Strayer, RN
Connie Strayer, RN is the Director of Clinical Care for Hospice of Central PA. She is responsible for clinical operations, and to direct and manage Carolyn House. Connie graduated from Franklin County Vo-tech as a Licensed Practical Nurse and Harrisburg Area Community College as a Registered Nurse. She has over 30 years of experience working in the long term care setting before making the transition to hospice care. Connie lives in Boiling Springs with her husband, Mike. They have two adult children, Kirsten and Jared. In Connie’s spare time she enjoys spending time with her family and dog (Max), traveling, camping, hiking and just enjoying the great outdoors.
William Phillips, SHRM-CP
William (Bill) Phillips has been actively involved as a Human Resources professional with 20+ years of experience serving the majority of his career in the health care industry. He is responsible for the management of an effective total rewards program, delivering service and support to all employees and providing counsel and advice to executive staff and operational managers. Bill’s passion for the HR profession, interests in strategy and innovation and a desire to develop effective workforce solutions are brought together to foster and enhance the employee experience and sustain a positive workplace culture.
Bill is a graduate of Villanova University’s Professional Human Resources Program and The Disney Institute’s Executive Education Program on People Development, Organizational Leadership and Culture. He is also a Certified Professional through the Society of Human Resources Management.
Bill, originally from North Central PA, now calls Mechanicsburg PA home. When he is not working he enjoys spending time with family, travel, art, Penn State football and Villanova basketball.
Melissa Ross, RN
Melissa Ross is the Director of Quality and Clinical Operations for Hospice of Central PA. She is responsible for regulatory compliance and quality care at HCP. Melissa graduated from Harrisburg Area Community College in 2009 as a Registered Nurse. She worked in hospital environments until making the transition to hospice care in 2012 and joined HCP in 2014. Melissa is a Steering Committee member for the Quality Assessment/Performance Improvement Section of NHPCO’s National Council of Hospice and Palliative Professionals. Melissa is also an accomplished pianist, having played since the age of six.
Susan Resavy, LSW, ACHP-SW
Susan Resavy is HCP’s Director of Family Services. In this role Susan’s primary responsibility is the management and clinical supervision of the social work, spiritual care, volunteer and bereavement departments at HCP. Susan is originally from Scranton, PA. She obtained her BSW from Penn State University and her MSW from Marywood College. Susan is a licensed social worker in PA and has an advanced certification in hospice and palliative care. Prior to joining HCP in 1989, Susan’s professional experience included working as a psychiatric social worker with adolescents and adults in a variety of settings; medical social worker in an ER/hospital setting and as a social worker in a nursing home setting. Susan resides in Harrisburg with her husband, Charlie. They have two adult children, Abigail and Daniel. She is a diehard Penn State and Denver Broncos football fan!
Darlette Norfleet, RN, BSN, CHPN
Darlette Norfleet, RN, BSN, CHPN graduated from Lancaster General Hospital School of Nursing in 1994. She earned her BSN from Millersville University in 2018, and has been certified in hospice and palliative care since 2006. As the Director of Education, Darlette’s responsibilities include onboarding new employees, continuing education, annual training, CPR training, and community education. She also manages the hospice aide team at HCP. Darlette has a long career at HCP, more than 24 years working at HCP to provide the highest quality of emotional, physical and spiritual support. Outside of work, Darlette enjoys spending time with her husband and four children since they remind her to appreciate life and moments of tranquility.
Stacy Marciano, RN
Stacy Marciano is a patient care guide and the director of Choices Palliative Care. Stacy graduated from Harrisburg Area Community College in 2006 as a registered nurse. She received her bachelors of science degree in nursing from Eastern University in 2012. She was a hospice nurse for Hospice of Central PA for 8 years and transitioned into palliative care in 2016. Stacy also has an associate’s degree in specialized business in legal assistance and worked as a paralegal prior to obtaining her nursing degree. Stacy is a lifelong resident of the Harrisburg area. Stacy’s spare time is filled by playing with and training her very energetic Yorkie puppy named Izzy.
Andreas Hauer
Andy Hauer is the Director of Information Services for HCP. His responsibilities include the design, implementation, management, and maintenance of all information technology at HCP as well as conversion of the agency’s data into actionable information and knowledge. He holds an MBA from Millersville University, and BA in International Relations from American University. Immediately after completion of his BA, Andy spent two years in Togo, West Africa with the Peace Corps as an Environmental Protection Extension Agent. Before joining HCP in 2011, Andy held various positions in international public health, market analysis, and hospice quality assessment and performance improvement. He is originally from New York’s Hudson Valley but has been a resident of Lancaster for the past ten years where he lives with his wife and son. Andy is known for his gruff yet endearing demeanor, and his can-do attitude.
Maria Olender, DO
Dr. Olender grew up in New Jersey and attended Franklin and Marshall College for her undergraduate studies. Medical school brought her back to New Jersey where she completed her training at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in Stratford. She went on to complete a Family Medicine residency at the Reading Hospital in Reading, Pennsylvania. After deciding to pursue further education in symptom management and end-of-life care, she completed a one-year Hospice and Palliative Medicine Fellowship at the Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center. When she is not working, Dr. Olender enjoys spending time with her husband, son, and daughter, exploring the outdoors around the mid-state.
