Dr. Olender originates from Odessa, Ukraine, arriving in the United States as a child, along with her family, in the 1990’s. She grew up in New Jersey and attended Franklin and Marshall College for her undergraduate studies. Medical school brought her back to New Jersey where she completed her training at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in Stratford. She went on to complete a Family Medicine residency at the Reading Hospital in Reading, Pennsylvania. After deciding to pursue further education in symptom management and end-of-life care, she completed a one-year Hospice and Palliative Medicine Fellowship at the Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center. When she is not working, Dr. Olender enjoys spending time with her husband, son, and daughter, exploring the outdoors around the mid-state.
